Kim Allman is a strategist, thought partner, and speaker with over 20 years of experience working in private and public spaces developing and delivering innovative, data-backed programs and products.​​Kim is the Principal at The Allman Group, LLC, a social impact consultancy that collaborates with organizations to provide support in the areas of strategy, operations, leadership and problem-solving.
She works with employers, associations and mission-oriented organizations to develop and implement programs and products that are behavior-based and goal-oriented.​Kim was Senior Director of Community Impact and Investment at Capital One. In this role, she was responsible for devising and executing philanthropic strategy and initiatives across the organization. Her efforts primarily focused on bridging the wealth gap and promoting financial health. She worked towards empowering people to save money, build credit, manage debt, and access banking products.​
Kim previously worked as the Deputy Director for the New York Mortgage Coalition, a nonprofit that helps low to moderate-income New Yorkers achieve homeownership, maintain it, and build financial stability. ​Kim ran her own financial planning firm and began her career as a funds attorney, advising clients on investment products at Sidley Austin LLP.
Kim has a bachelor’s degree from Duke University and a J.D. from Cornell University Law School. She also holds a certificate in financial planning from Boston University.
